The Lubbert Family {Evergreen, CO} by chelsie olivieri

So, for Jeremiah and I's 2nd Anniversary, we decided to fly back out to Denver for a week long getaway. Not only did we get to visit family and friends, but Fleet Foxes and Beach House (two of my all time favorite groups) were performing at Red Rocks Amphitheater on our anniversary (September, 27th). We rented a house in Evergreen and I couldn't not share its beauty.

A week before our trip I posted a giveaway for an "in-home" session for either a couple or family and got a good amount of entries! A few days before we left for Denver I had announced the winner, but the couple wound up backing out last minute.

When Monica had gotten in touch with me, I just knew I would have to give them the option of coming over to the house for a family session. She had informed me that she and her husband had lost one of their babies and that their son was a "Rainbow Baby", which I actually happen to be as well.

They were such a delight and I'm glad it worked out to get together..
Enjoy their photos!

Jess + Kyle's Intimate In-Home Session by chelsie olivieri

Being here in Colorado has been such an amazing experience. I've been able to work and meet so many creative people and I can now call these beautiful human-beings my friends. The artistic community out here is flourishing and will surely continue grow ever more so as the years go on.

Kyle and Jess are a sweet couple from Denver and it's kinda hilarious that I don't even remember how I officially met them, but they were such a blast to photograph. When you meet couples who are naturals in front of the camera, you know you have a hard task in front of you... picking photos to share with everyone else.

So with that being said, please enjoy their intimate in-home session.

Brandon & Bethany's Surprise Wedding by chelsie olivieri

It all started when...

I met Brandon and Bethany back in December (New Year's Eve to be exact). This was the day that Brandon surprised Beth by flying into Denver while she was visiting family and proposed to her. Instead of going back home to her family with the exciting news, they both decided (months, possibly years before he proposed) that they would keep their engagement a secret and start planning their SURPRISE wedding.

YES. You've read correctly, a SURPRISE WEDDING! How does one plan a surprise wedding, you may ask? Well, they invited a small group of family and friends to a "surprise" proposal/engagement party for Bethany, where during the night Brandon would propose in front of everyone.

Little did everyone know that the surprise would actually be on them!

The wedding day finally arrives eight months later and I find myself flying to Seattle, Washington for the first time. Assistant (my husband) by my side and wedding day itinerary in hand.

It all happened so fast and I can't believe I'm already back in Denver blogging about this incredibly special wedding. This couple has become not only one of my favorite couples to work with, but they've also become good friends.
